NO HOPE Productions announces a one-night-only showcase of new work written in the same dark, disturbing, yet oddly uplifting vein that has made them an underground fixture of the NYC alt theater scene for over a decade. SWEET BABY JESUS AND THE TRUE ORPHAN TRAGEDIES will feature a selection of songs from NO HOPE’s latest full-length original musical TEACH ME TO SING; readings of two brand-new 15-minute musicals ripped from actual headlines, MAYBE TOMORROW and MISS TEENTUCKY USA; and a collection of “orphan songs” – funny and thought-provoking pieces without a home to call their own.
